Things To Do
Silver Dollar City
Branson has always sought to market itself as one of the premier family-friendly vacation destinations of the Midwest, and since 1960, perhaps no single attraction has embodies this fact more than Silver Dollar City. This one-of-a-kind theme park (which runs from March to late December) seeks to evoke an experience reminiscent of the late 19th century, with demonstrations like glass-blowing and rides like the steam train or the flooded mine. Tours of historic Marvel Cave are also offered through the theme park. Located about one mile north of Treehouse Luxury Condos, this is a must-do trip for the family. Other Amusement Parks in the Branson area include: America’s Fun Park, The Shepherd Of The Hills, Mountain Adventure Park, Bigfoot Fun Park, and Castle Rock Resort and Water Park as well as Splash Country Water Park.

For over 50 years, Marvel Caves has been open as a tourist attraction. They’re made up of wet limestone, with alive and growing formations! Marvel Caves are located within Silver Dollar City amusement park in Branson MO. The Osage Indians called it The Devil’s Den because of the strange sounds. Spanish explorers explored searching for gold and the fountain of youth. William Henry Lynch first opened it to spelunking tourists over 100 years ago in 1894. In 1950 the Herschends leased it and it’s what started Silver Dollar City building and creation. Early explorers looked for marble inside the Marvel Cave Branson MO corridors, but bat guano was their prize instead. Bat guano was mined for 5 years as a prized fertilizer. Today Marvel Caves are an unforgettable experience and a giant underground park with falls and a guided tour activity. Other caves in the Branson area include: Fantastic Caverns, Talking Rock Caverns and Crystal Cave.
